A Love Story of Giving
Pak (Mr) Septala is a law professor in Bali with a secret: he's a frustrated artist, gifted with mind-blowing freehand drawing skills. He loves dragons because he believes in their spiritual power to protect. To celebrate his extraordinary talent, we challenged him to do something he hasn't done before - draw his favorite dragon on plant-dyed silk using plant-ink. No deadline. No computers. No toxins. After 30 hours of freehand drawing and total freedom, Pak Septala's smile was priceless.
This piece is his second dragon on handloom woven cotton scarf, infused with his gratitude for having this moment to manifest his lifelong dream and share his talent to the world.
- Made for longevity so you wear it a lot or share - as scarf, sarong, shawl, headscarf, bed runner, bed throw, sofa throw, wall hanger.
- Featuring: Hand twisted tassel
- Size: Length: 70in * 178cm . Width: 39in * 100cm.
- Care for long-lasting plant-dyed piece: Cold hand wash or machine wash with like colors. Use eco-friendly or gentle detergent. Air dry in the shade or tumble dry low. Dry clean not recommended because natural dyes react to heavy synthetic chemicals. Plant dyed colors will fade if left in the sun for a long time and washed in hot water. Mend when torn.

Plant dyeing is an age-old technique that we are obsessed to share to the world because it is beautiful and healthy. Plant dyeing is using natural dyes that are extracted from fresh plants and mixed by hand instead of synthetic chemicals made by machines. Good for the health: Safer than synthetic dyes as they don't contain chemicals harmful to health. Good for the ecosystem: As plants can be regrown, they’re a renewable, low-cost source. Good for the heart: Fun and therapeutic, and has more room for artistry.
Handloom woven in Java.
