CRAFTY: There's beauty in trash. Offcuts from indigo-dyed orders and rejects slowly patched together into an elevated blue-and-white colorblock - and embellished with Japanese-inspired sashiko embroidery. This reversible blanket or throw can be an heirloom that you'd want to pass down in the family for generations. Back side is coordinated with olive plant-dyed cotton.
EARTHY: Plant dyes gifted from 💙strobilanthes cusia leaves. Finding respectful ways to extend the life of fabric offcuts is our way of contributing to the solution, not continuous pollution, of mother earth.
Care to Last: cold wash, mild detergent, dry in the shade, or low heat, no dry clean as the heavy chemicals mess up natural dyes. Mend when torn.
GIVING: Together we support the livelihood of small artisan communities.
Size: LENGTH 74in | 189cm. WIDTH 52in | 133cm.
About the Brand: PAGI MOTLEY. Founder Andika started plant dyeing when he was 15. After 20 plus years of experience, he built Pagi Motley in 2019 as his home-based studio, with a new mission. 'Pagi' in Bahasa means the beginning of a day, and 'Motley' means multicolor. He wants to raise new energy and new color in his Sembiran village. Every month, Andika co-conducts Bali's sought-after indigo workshop in partnership with Tiantaru.
