At the age of 63, he realizes his dream to illustrate life-size paintings, but even better, using only plant-inks and his bamboo sticks on textiles. This treasure was completed within 40 hours which required a layered process of painting and dyeing to bring out the depth of plant-ink colors.

About the Brand: PAGI MOTLEY. Founder Andika started plant dyeing when he was 15. After 20 plus years of experience, he built Pagi Motley in 2019 as his home-based studio, with a new mission. 'Pagi' in Bahasa means the beginning of a day, and 'Motley' means multicolor. He wants to raise new energy and new color in his Sembiran village. Every month, Andika co-conducts Bali's sought-after indigo workshop in partnership with Tiantaru.
