A Love Story of Giving

We sourced this old cotton Indian sari in the Indian market in Kuala Lumpur. We were attracted to it when the shopkeeper said it was considered the farmers's sari.

  • Made for fun comfort and longevity so you can wear a lot or share.
  • Featuring: Unused Indian sari given by a friend of a friend from Malaysia. Generous proportions from over two meters of lightweight cotton to give you a flowing silhouette. Retained the original brocade trimming. One tier. Modest front slit. Tier has raw edge. High waisted beauty. Elastic waist. Drawstring for adjustable comfort.
  • Size: One size. Full waist: 29in * 74cm expandable. Length: 36in * 92cm. Model Gita is 5’6’’ * 170 cm.
  • Care for long-lasting plant-dye: Cold hand wash or machine wash with like colors. Use eco-friendly or gentle detergent. Air dry in the shade or tumble dry low. Dry clean not recommended as natural dyes react to heavy synthetic chemicals. Plant dyed colors will fade if left in the sun for a long time and washed in hot water. Mend when torn.
  • Variations: There may be slight variations in color consistency. We welcome this as part of the natural beauty of plant dyeing by hand and what distinguishes plant dye from synthetic colors.
